Oct 9, 2001 · Chandrasekhara Menon, better known by his stage name Sankaradi was an Indian actor. He was a veteran Malayalam comedian and character artiste, who had over 700 Malayalam films to his credit. He was one of the first realistic actors in South Indian cinema. He dominated the Malayalam film scene in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s as comedian along with Adoor Bhasi and Bahadur. Later, he switched to character roles.
Sankaradi was born on 14 July 1924 in North Pavavur Kingdom of Cochin. He was an actor, known for Vazhve Mayam (1970) , Ezhuthatha Katha (1970) and Ithrayum Kalam (1987) . He died on 9 October 2001 in Cherayi, Kerala, India.

Rajan Sankaradi (6 November 1953–1 August 2016) was an Indian film director. He started his career as an assistant director under Balachandra Menon . [2] He had directed the films Guruji Oru Vakku (1985), Meenathil Thalikettu (1998) [3] and Cleopatra (2013) [4] with prominent actors like Mohanlal and Dileep playing the leads.
