N. S. Krishnan Biography. N. S. Krishnan was an Indian comedian, actor and playback singer who was affectionately called as NSK and Kalaivanar. He was born on 29 th November 1908 in Nagercoil in Travancore in India and attracted audience by his unique way of performing comedy. All his comedies carried a message for social uplifting.

His passion for acting and singing led him to sell soda at the local drama theatre so that he could watch the plays with avid and insatiable interest, unabated as he couldn’t afford tickets and he got to watch the plays for free.
