Sep 12, 2013 · German actor Otto Sander, who appeared in World War II movie Das Boot and Wings of Desire, has died at the age of 72. His agent confirmed he died on Thursday, but no cause of death was given.
At the same time as his theater work, Otto Sander also started his career in film. In 1965 he played the farmer's son and quarry worker in Roland Klick's "Ludwig" and thus celebrated his screen debut. Sander attended drama school and also appeared on the stage of the Munich Rational Theater.
