Hong Qin is associate professor of computer science at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. In 1997, Professor Qin was awarded the US National Science Foundation CAREER Award. In December 2000, he received a Honda Initiation Grant Award. In April 2001, he was selected as an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow by the Sloan Foundation.
