Hamsalekha (Kannada: ಹಂಸಲೇಖ) is a Music Director and lyricist in the Kannada film industry. He has composed music for over 300 feature films and written lyrics for 300 odd feature films. He stormed Kannada music industry with his catchy tunes and racey lyrics through the movie Premaloka [1987].
Hamsalekha, whose real name is Gangaraju, is a prolific Indian film composer and songwriter who has primarily worked in the Kannada film industry since the late 1980s. Along with his music compositions, he is also known for his skills as a screenplay and dialogue writer, instrumentalist, and conductor.
