Sep 14, 2021 · Beautiful 360° views from Maroon Lake. (Late May) Amazing! First, we hiked to Crater Lake early in the morning. As other reviews said, there were definitely large patches of packed down snow that were challenging to walk on. The microspikes and hiking poles helped a ton.
