The Mapbox web services APIs allow you to programmatically access Mapbox tools and services. You can use these APIs to retrieve information about your account, upload and change resources, use core Mapbox tools, and more. Mapbox APIs are divided into four distinct services: Maps, Navigation, Search, and Accounts.
The Mapbox Maps Service includes several APIs for creating and requesting maps, either by interacting with an API directly or using an SDK. This includes services for requesting map tiles, requesting static images, uploading data to your Mapbox account, querying data in a tileset, and more.

Requests using the driving, driving-traffic, walking, and cycling profiles can specify up to 25 total waypoints (input coordinates that are snapped to the roads network) along the route. But, if using engine=electric, you can specify up to a total of 12 waypoints.
Mapbox has two search-related APIs: the Mapbox Search Box API and the Mapbox Geocoding API. The Mapbox Search Box API allows you to build location search experiences by enabling search suggestions and feature retrieval for both addresses and points of interest (POI).
