Automatic weapons, including AK-47, M-16 and AK-92, brought from Pakistan were to be used for the attack. As per Navi Mumbai Police, the Bishnoi gang was preparing to kill the actor with the Turkey-made Zigana pistol, which was also used to kill Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
