Kavya Kalanithi Maran (born 6 August 1992) is an Indian businessperson, CEO and co-owner of Sunrisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League (IPL) and Sunrisers Eastern Cape in SA20 League. She is the daughter of Kalanithi Maran, the chairman and founder of the Sun Group.
Her paternal grandfather’s name is Murasoli Maran, and her paternal grandmother’s name is Mallika Maran (deceased). Murasoli, who served as a Union Minister of India, passed away due to heart and kidney-related issues at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai on 23 November 2003.
Kavya Maran hails from a South Indian family of businessmen and politicians. She is the co-owner of the Indian Premier League team ‘Sunrisers Hyderabad’ along with her father, who is also the founder and chairman of Sun Group.
