The goal of the University of Iceland alumni work is to strengthen and ensure the connection between the university, its former students, and benefactors. Moreover, the aim is to instil a sense of unity amongst students, both current and former, and last but not least to strengthen the University's ties to industry.

Students not holding a BA degree in Anthropology are required to take at least 30 ECTS credits in undergraduate courses in Anthropology. The courses are: MAN106G, MAN203G and MAN331G. The required undergraduate courses do not count towards the master´s degree. The undergraduate courses are taught in Icelandic.
