He received the bachelor's degree in physics from Fuyang Normal University, Fuyang, China, in 1993, the M.Sc. degree in microwave engineering from the China Research Institute of Radiowave Propagation, Qingdao, China, in 1995, and the Ph.D. degree in microwave engineering from Shanghai University, Shanghai, China, in 1999.
