Nalapat Balamani Amma (19 July 1909 – 29 September 2004) was an Indian poet who wrote in Malayalam. Amma (Mother), Muthassi (Grandmother), and Mazhuvinte Katha (The story of the Axe) are some of her well-known works.
അമ്മാവന്റെ ഗ്രന്ഥശേഖരവും ശിക്ഷണവും ഔപചാരികവിദ്യാഭ്യാസം ലഭിക്കാതിരുന്ന ബാലാമണിക്ക് മാർഗ്ഗദർശകമായി. 1928-ൽ മാതൃഭൂമി മാനേജിങ് ഡയറക്ടറും മാനേജിങ് എഡിറ്ററുമായിരുന്ന വി.എം. നായരെ വിവാഹം ചെയ്തു. 1977-ലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം അന്തരിക്കുന്നത്. മലയാളത്തിലെയും ഇംഗ്ലീഷിലെയും പ്രശസ്ത സാഹിത്യകാരിയായിരുന്ന കമലാ സുരയ്യ എന്ന മാധവിക്കുട്ടി ബാലാമണിയമ്മയുടെ മകളാണ്. ഡോ.
