Puducherry Technological University (PTU) is the first state University of Union Territory of Puducherry. It seamlessly came into existence on 5 th September 2020 upon the elevation of erstwhile Pondicherry Engineering College - PEC (established in the year 1985 under the 7 th five-year plan) with the University status.
MODE OF ADMISSION. Self-Supporting Seats are filled through JoSAA/CSAB counselling and Govt. Quota seats are filled through Puducherry CENTAC counselling. For the JoSAA/CSAB seats, one needs to take the JEE (Main) exam.
With a total of 12 departments, the college provides B.Tech and M.Tech courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and several more specializations. Admissions are offered on the basis of JEE Mains and GATE examination.
