    O.P. Nayyar. Composer. 16 January 1926 to 28 January 2007. The writer of some of the most popular songs in Hindi films during the 1950s and 60s, Nayyar scored his first hit with Aar Paar (1954), swiftly followed by Mr & Mrs '55 (1955) and C.I.D. (1956). He forged productive working relationships with Asha Bhosle, Guru Dutt and Mohammed Rafi.
