Danny Bensi is a contemporary film composer and string player living in Los Angeles since 2018. He grew up learning the cello in Denmark, UK, Germany and Italy before arriving in the US to study music at Northwestern University. Teaming up in 2011 with his long time friend and band-mate Saunder Jurriaans, the two formed a prolific film scoring duo.

He is posted up in his studio, long hair hanging past the shoulders of his light purple T-shirt, and musing over the possibility of getting takeout sushi that evening to celebrate the nomination - after all, the options are limited in the age of COVID-19.
