A screenplay is a type of the broader term, film script. In filmmaking, the screenplay is regarded as a pre-production draft (a writer’s original draft) which acts as a guide for directors. It includes minor details about the set, such as camera angles, close-ups, and lighting – basically, it’s a director’s tool .
This is the standard format for a screenplay (if you’re using a screenplay format template, make sure it follows these rules): Typeface – 12-point Courier font.
