An experiment was conducted during 2022-23 at the department of Vegetable Science, College of Horticulture, Mudigere to assess the impact of secondary nutrients and biofertilizers on growth, yield and quality in chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) using Randomised Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 11 treatments and 3 replications.
The average production of potato before mechanization was 65.50 q whichwas increased to 245.64 q after mechanization. The ‘t’ value was found to be significantat 1% level of probability for the study area (t=16.670). The productivity was found71.20 q/ha before mechanization and 198.10 q/ha after mechanization.

The loss in grain yield ranged from 18.680 to 63.153 and straw yield for 14.709 to 35.114 per cent in varieties A-404, BAU-2 and BM-1 due to blight disease. Out of various treatments, five sprays of crude extract (10 per cent) of Impatiens balsamina at an interval of 15 days gave satisfactory control of the disease.
