Lalon Shah, also known as Lalon Fakir, was a Bengali Baul mystic poet, singer, and social reformer. He was born in 1772 in the village of Harishpur in the Jhenaidah district of Bangladesh. Though details of his early life remain hazy, he is believed to have come from a humble background and received no formal education.
