Jan 1, 2006 · Graham Chapman was a complicated man, and though I've long admired him for his comedy work and for his efforts as an outspoken member of the Gay Liberation Movement in the 60s and 70s, so much of the behaviour chronicled here - such as using his celebrity to "pounce" on unsuspecting young admirers, and the relationship he had with his teenage ward - would definitely be deemed "problematic" or worse today (and rightly so.)
Graham Chapman 1941 to –1989. English comedian, writer, and actor, best known as one-sixth of Monty Python. He attended medical school and qualified as a physician before abandoning that career to write and perform with his school friend, John Cleese—they launched Monty Python’s Flying Circus in 1969.
