In 1949, College of Agriculture of Peking University, College of Agriculture of Tsinghua University, and College of Agriculture of Northern China University merged into Beijing Agricultural University (BAU) with four departments, including Department of Agronomy, Department of Plant Pathology, Department of Entomology, and Department of Horticulture.
