Drums of the Desert (1940) is a low budget but serviceable desert war movie. Not so much action, but okay drama and personality thanks to Mantan Moreland giving coloured folks a presence in the battles. In fact, apart from the exotics of the film, Mantan is the key to making a cheap film like this enjoyable.
