Darkman is a 1990 American superhero film directed and co-written by Sam Raimi.Based on a short story Raimi wrote that paid homage to Universal's horror films of the 1930s, the film stars Liam Neeson as scientist Peyton Westlake, who is brutally attacked, disfigured, and left for dead by ruthless mobster Robert Durant (Larry Drake), after his girlfriend, attorney Julie Hastings (Frances McDormand), runs afoul of corrupt developer Louis Strack Jr. (Colin Friels).
Filmed in 3D, Man in the Dark stars Edmond O'Brien as Steve Rawley, a man with a past. Thing of it is, Rawley knows nothing about that past: a former gangster, he underwent an operation that not only altered his appearance, but also wiped out all criminal tendencies--not to mention all memory of his past misdeeds.
Best Man in the Dark follows our blind protagonist, Jonas Bergman, on the night his music agent and current roommate urges him to be the best man in his impromptu wedding. In an attempt to maintain his accommodations and steer the agent's focus back into his career Jonas organizes a bachelor party to derail the wedding.
