T he Alsatian Museum covering life in the region in the 18th and 19th centuries (it was founded in 1902 as pushback against the Germanization of Alsace, which was then under German rule), and the Historical Museum of Strasbourg (which covers the history of the city from the 13th century to 1800) are both highly recommended.
