Gerald Grant Sim (4 June 1925 – 11 December 2014) was an English television and film actor who is perhaps best known for having played the rector in To the Manor Born.
Beginning with a small role in Fame Is the Spur (1947), Sim was to eventually become one of Britain's most reliable, yet ever-so-discreet screen character players, his profile firmly established in several films directed by Bryan Forbes, including Whistle Down the Wind (1961), King Rat (1965) and The Wrong Box (1966).

Biography. Gerald Sim joins the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center for the Autumn 2016 quarter from Florida Atlantic University's School of Communication and Multimedia Studies, where he is an associate professor of film and media studies.
