Jun 17, 2024 · Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) Faridabad, established in 2006, is an institute of national importance with a vision to provide education, training and research in different branches of biotechnology.
RCB has established facilities in its interim campus at Gurgaon where it is functioning. Centre is expected to expand further when it moves to its permanent campus in Faridabad, within the NCR Biotech Science Cluster, later this year.

It is being established at the Regional Centre of Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad in the national capital region in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC), India. In times to come, IBDC is envisaged to emerge as a major data repository for all life science data emerging from India.
Since the year 2020, the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) has entrusted Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad as the Nodal Implementation Agency for management of key human resource development programmes through DBT-HRD Project & Management Unit (DBT HRD PMU).
