David Campbell McFadzean (born April 9, 1947) is an American television producer, television writer, film producer and playwright. He is best known for co-creating the ABC sitcom Home Improvement with Carmen Finestra and Matt Williams.
David McFadzean was a professor & head of the theatre department at Judson College in Elgin, Illinois. He had a play produced off Broadway in the late 1980s, which brought him to the attention of Roseanne.
David McFadzean is a founder and principal of Wind Dancer Films. Starting his career in theater, David McFadzean moved into television to work on Roseanne as Executive Story Editor in its premiere season. He went on to form Wind Dancer Production Group with Matt Williams and Carmen Finestra.
